Abstract:   (3063 Views)

In this study, 360 rainbow trout fingerlings with an average body weight of 10.93 ± 0.2 g were divided into 3 group of BV (8, 12 and 16 μg of bee venom powder) and a control group (commercial diet free of honey bee venom) with three respective replicates. After one week adaptation with experimental conditions, the fish were fed with experimental diets for 60 days. Results showed that final length, final weight, specific growth rate, percentage of body weight gain, body weight gain, condition factor and feed conversion ratio significantly improved in comparison with control group without any dietary venoum supplementation (p> 0.05). Furthermore, the results of this study showed that the highest values of final length (17.76 ± 0.09), final weight (78.05 ± 0.005), specific growth rate (3.30 ± 0.05), percentage of body weight gain (86.11 ± 0.6), body weight gain (67.12 ± 0.8), condition factor (1.39 ± 0.02) and the lowest feed conversion ratio (0.54 ± 0.009)  belonged to group received 16 μg/kg feed bee venom powder. Accordingly, Incorporating honey bee venom in commercial diet at the experimental levels significantly improved the growth indices of rainbow trout fingerlings.
